WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley and AEW star Buddy Matthews have gone viral after their stunned reaction to Jake Hager’s knockout loss at Power Slap 21.
Ripley and Matthews were in attendance for Friday night’s event in Las Vegas, Nevada, where former WWE and AEW star Jake Hager squared off against former TNA wrestler Amanpreet Singh, formerly known as Mahabali Shera, in a heavyweight bout.
Hager entered the contest undefeated in Power Slap, but his unbeaten run came to an end in dramatic fashion. Singh delivered a crushing slap in the third round that sent Hager crashing backward to the canvas, leaving him unable to continue. The referee immediately waved off the contest, handing Hager his first loss in the promotion.
Following the knockout, UFC India shared footage on Instagram showing Ripley and Matthews’ live reaction from the crowd. Both stars appeared visibly shocked by the finish, with their stunned expressions quickly making the rounds on social media as fans reacted to the unexpected result.
