Latest On WWE’s Plans For The Current Raw-SmackDown Brand Split

WWE has no plans on ending the brand split anytime soon despite several title unification matches this month.

At WrestleMania 38, Roman Reigns unified the WWE and Universal Championships and the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team titles will be unified at WrestleMania-Backlash.

Addressing rumors that these matches are a sign of the brand split ending, Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“Roman Reigns is scheduled to headline WrestleMania Backlash even though they don’t seem to have started a program for him. Also, regarding rumors of brand mergers because of the singles title merger and the tag title merger, right now they are not merging rosters… as of right now nobody has heard anything discussed in that direction.”

Either RK-Bro or The Usos will hold both the Raw and SmackDown Tag Titles after WrestleMania-Backlash on May 8.
