Kevin Owens Seemingly Reacts To Being Namedropped On AEW Dynamite

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens has said he’s a “good friend” seemingly in reaction to being mentioned on this week’s AEW Dynamite: St Patrick’s Day Slam.

During the show, Chris Jericho had an in-ring segment where he explained that he got 2point0 jobs in AEW after being called by his “former best friend Kevin.”

“Why do they appreciate me? A year ago, I got a call from my former best friend Kevin, who said: ‘hey, I need some help for some buddies of me who just got fired [by WWE]. Can you please put them on Talk is Jericho so they can get a job? So I brought these two men into my house, I’d never met them before. At the end of that podcast, I realized these guys have passion and desire. AEW hired them. That’s why they appreciate me.”

Many fans picked up on the reference to Owens who was Jericho’s best friend on-screen before turning on Y2J during the 2017 Festival of Friendship.

On Twitter, Owens seemingly responded by saying:

Kevin Owens will host the KO Show at WrestleMania 38 (Night One) with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as his guest.

It’s reported that Austin and Owens will have a “fight sequence” but it will not be a sanctioned match.
