Kevin Owens Attacks Cody Rhodes In The Parking Lot After WWE Bad Blood 2024 – Here’s The Reason Why

Kevin Owens’ issues with Cody Rhodes boiled to the surface at Bad Blood 2024, resulting in an assault on the American Nightmare after the show.

In the main event, Rhodes and Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu and had a staredown with The Rock after the match.

In fan-recorded footage shared online, Owens and Rhodes can be seen arguing in the parking lot before the Prizefighter attacks Rhodes, prompting security to intervene.

Owens has taken issue with Rhodes in recent weeks over Cody’s willingness to team with Reigns despite the history of the OTC.

On last week’s episode of SmackDown, Owens and Randy Orton lost to The Bloodline after Rhodes’ attempt to aid his friends backfired.

Rhodes and Owens faced off at WWE Bash In Berlin in August of this year, where Rhodes was able to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.

For those wondering, WWE intentionally executed the angle between Owens and Cody in full view of the fans who were waiting to see the talent exit the arena after the show. The pre-planned segment took place in front of Rhodes’ tour bus.

The idea was to try and create a viral moment on the internet, as WWE officials knew they could “work” some of their “non-smart mark” fans into believing it was a “shoot” and they’d post the videos on social media, which would in turn go viral.

So that was the ultimate end goal here – and it worked as expected.
