All Elite Wrestling has a new international champion now that Kenny Omega defeated Konosuke Takeshita to win the title at AEW Revolution 2025!
After spending more than a year on the shelf due to diverticulitis, The Best Bout Machine picked up his feud with The Don Callis Family since returning to action, eventually leading to this culmination of a story that dates back well over a decade ago, when Takeshita was just a rookie on Omega’s radar.
Takeshita has proven himself time and time again to be The Alpha to Kenny Omega, and nearly had this match won at several times, but Omega’s heart wouldn’t let him stay down for a three-count, eventually catching the champion in a crucifix pin for the win in a typical veteran maneuver.

Takeshita’s reign comes to an end with the second-longest run for the International Championship at 149 days, falling short of Orange Cassidy’s 326 day run, but overtaking Cassidy’s second 145 day reign.
