Kenny Omega Flew Halfway Around The World For AEW’s PAC Memorial

Fans who watched AEW Dynamite on September 30 saw a big return during the “A Tribute to PAC” special, but it was not what the company first had in mind.

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega joined his old friends, The Elite, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, in an eight-man tag team match. The babyfaces defeated Kyle Fletcher, Kevin Knight, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta of the Don Callis Family. Hangman’s Buckshot Lariat, the Young Bucks’ BTE Trigger, and Omega’s One-Winged Angel finished off Beretta.

The night also marked Omega’s first appearance since AEW All In: London 2026 on August 30, where he lost the AEW World Championship to Will Ospreay.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Omega was not originally planned for the Dynamite card. One source revealed that Omega flew in from Japan on short notice just to be part of the tribute.

The whole show was filled with video packages, appearances, and other moments to honor the late PAC. Omega went out of his way to take part even though he had not been booked.
