Jushin Liger Turns Down Chris Jericho Cruise Match, Says He’s Too Old

Fans shouldn’t expect wrestling icon Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger in action on Chris Jericho’s next cruise, as the Japanese star believes he’s too old.

On a recent edition of the “Grue Rume Show,” Sonny Onoo, a longtime wrestling manager and friend of Liger, said Jushin had been asked for a match.

Liger, who was also on the show, quickly shot the idea down, stating “I am too old!”

The Chris Jericho Cruise is set to sail from January 31 to February 4, 2025 and will travel from Miami to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

As expected, Jericho will appear on the cruise, and guests of honors announced include Scott Steiner, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and Liger.

Liger hasn’t competed since his retirement at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in January 2020 where he and Naoki Sano lost to Hiromu Takahashi & Ryu Lee.
