JR Wasn’t Contacted For Mr. McMahon Docuseries – ‘I’ve Got Everything They Wanted’

Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries has appearances by Vince McMahon, his family, and several notable names, but Jim Ross was never approached about the project.

The show’s six hour-long episodes delve deep into McMahon’s legacy and controversies, culminating with Janel Grant’s lawsuit and his exit from WWE.

On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Ross shared that he was never approached by the show’s producers. He said,

“When I heard about it being made, I suspected my agent Barry Bloom would have something in that space. They never approached us. Bill Simmons’ crew never approached us. I’m not sure I would have done it anyway. It depends on what they were looking for.

“I’ve got everything they would be looking for. Sensationalism, all these things. Working for Vince was an adventure. Following him around was a sprint. I would have had to think about it, but nonetheless, I never got a call on it to see if I was interested.”

On the latest edition of “The Ringer Wrestling Show,” David Shoemaker, the show’s consulting producer, said he would’ve loved to have interviewed Ross.
