Joseph Sawyer (Joe Gacy) Injured

Joseph Sawyer appears to have suffered an injury at ‘GCW Score.’

Sawyer was defending the GCW World Championship against John Jeffrey in an open challenge when the match took an unexpected turn.

Jeffrey caught Sawyer with a cannonball in the corner, with Sawyer immediately rolling out of the ring afterward. The GCW Champion appeared to be limping as he made his way around ringside while the referee checked on him. Jeffrey even walked past Sawyer as he remained outside the ring.

Sawyer eventually grabbed a microphone and stated that he could be out of action for months. He then confronted a fan at ringside before ultimately leaving the area.

The match against Jeffrey marked Sawyer’s second bout of the night. He had successfully defended the GCW Championship against Jazzy Yang shortly beforehand.

The apparent injury comes just days after Sawyer made his TNA Wrestling debut alongside Samuel Shaw (Dexter Lumis). The two were officially signed by TNA after being revealed as the mystery attackers who had been targeting talent.
