Jordynne Grace defeated Giulia in the main event of the May 6, 2025 episode of WWE NXT in a No. 1 contender’s match to earn a title opportunity against Stephanie Vaquer for the next NXT premium live event, WWE Battleground, set to take place at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida on May 25th.
At one point during the match, Giulia was suplexed backward and awkwardly landed on her head. The referee immediately went over to check on her as the commentary team reacted “Oh god. Oh god.”
Giulia just landed right on her neck.

It doesn’t appear as though Giulia suffered an injury, as she was able to work the rest of the match, but there may be reports later that specify otherwise. Stay tuned for any updates if that news breaks one way or another.

Earlier, Myles Borne won the 25-man battle royal to earn a shot at Oba Femi’s NXT Championship for Battleground as well, and it was announced Joe Hendry will defend the TNA Championship against Trick Williams, too.
