Announced on the March 26th episode of AEW Dynamite, “Switchblade” Jay White has declared himself as an entrant in this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
Seeking to offset his loss last year in the semifinals, White obviously plans on not only winning the Owen Hart Cup, but using that as a means to propel himself toward a title shot for AEW All In: Texas to win the AEW World Championship.
Previously announced for the tournament are Will Ospreay and “Hangman” Adam Page, both looking to do just the same to win the top title.

In other news from Dynamite, there was a brawl segment with Powerhouse Hobbs helping Brody King fight off The Don Callis Family which happened to feature a familiar face as part of the security team in Calvin Bloom, better known by his NXT ring name Von Wagner.
Funny enough, Wagner had been a member of the security detail in WWE at times before (which is traditional for rookie talent or local wrestlers), too, showing that sometimes, history repeats itself.

There is no indication this means he’s signed with All Elite Wrestling by any means, but any foot in the door could lead to those discussions.
