Janel Grant Delays Vince McMahon Lawsuit At The Request Of U.S. Justice Department

Janel Grant has agreed to delay her lawsuit against WWE & Vince McMahon at the request of the United States Department of Justice.

The lawsuit was filed in January of this year and alleges that Grant was the victim of sexual abuse and trafficking by McMahon and others while with WWE.

A statement from Ann Callis, Grant’s legal representative, reads as follows,

“Ms. Grant has consented to a request by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York to stay her case against Mr. McMahon, WWE and Mr. Laurinaitis, pursuant to a pending non-public investigation. We will cooperate with all appropriate next steps.”

Vince McMahon has denied all claims against him and has stated that his relationship with Grant was entirely consensual.

McMahon, alongside WWE and John Laurinaitis, is trying to compel arbitration, meaning the case would be settled before going to court.
