Jacob Fatu received some seemingly uninvited assistance from debuting WWE Superstar Jeff Cobb during Backlash: St. Louis on Saturday. Cobb made his surprise debut by attacking LA Knight, helping Fatu retain the WWE United States Championship.
However, Fatu appeared visibly unhappy with Cobb’s interference and declined to celebrate the win. When asked about his reaction during an appearance on the WWE Backlash Recap, Fatu simply said his expression “spoke for itself.” He said,
“Man, I’m gonna keep it 100, I don’t even want to speak on that. I don’t want to speak on none of that. I don’t want to speak on the last couple of seconds because honestly, I could tell you I don’t know. I appreciate you having me, but I don’t want to speak on none of that. I can’t tell you if I don’t know anything. If I don’t know why, I can’t speak on it.”
He continued, “The whole world saw the look on my face. I ain’t frustrated about it, but I just can’t speak on it. I can’t tell you nothing about it because it’s kind of — it’s just a little different. Obviously, I still feel like they better get in where they fit in at the end of the day. I can’t call it. Everybody just gonna have to stay tuned and see what’s poppin cause for something like that to pop up out of nowhere to me, to Jacob, who’s been nothing but loyal. Slowly upsetting. Overall, I don’t want to speak about it though. Like I said, they better get in where they fit in at the end of the day. That’s it, man.”
Natalya has admitted that she had some initial concerns about writing her memoir when she first began the project. Her book, The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE, is set to release in October. She recently opened up about the writing process during an appearance on “The Nikki & Brie Show.”

On starting to write the book: “I was a little tentative when I started writing the book… There’s a lot that I’m kind of scared to share and I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I want to go there. I don’t want to say this or they’re not going to let me say this, or WWE is not going to want me to say this or this might offend this person,’ and then I just was like, You know what? F**k it.’ Write it. Just write it. Just say what you have to say.”
On WWE’s reaction to the book: “They were so supportive of my book. It made me so happy. I was so happy … they didn’t say, ‘You can’t say this or you can’t say that,’ they fully embraced it and it was such a great feeling because it only reconfirmed that it’s so good to be able to share your story.”
