How AEW Kept The New Level’s Debut A Secret

The New Level isn’t exactly ready to crown The Young Bucks as the greatest tag team of all time.

Following their AEW debut at All In 2026, Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed have been making the media rounds to promote their new chapter. During a preview of his upcoming interview with the duo, journalist Jon Alba posed a simple question – are The Young Bucks the greatest tag team in wrestling history?

Creed’s response was immediate, as he said,

“You a comedian, bro. We haven’t done interviews like this in a long time, but you meet so many different personalities and everybody conducts interviews in a different way. Some bring some comedy to these interviews and that’s your shtick. Is that an Emmy back there, you get it for your comedy? Oh man. I need these laughs, I love these laughs because they give you life, you know?”

The New Level went to some serious lengths to avoid being recognized ahead of their surprise debut at AEW All In 2026.

Austin Creed and Kofi were nowhere to be seen by fans in the days leading up to the event, and it turns out the duo was being extremely careful while traveling to London. Both men made an effort to conceal their identities and avoid spoiling their arrival at Wembley Stadium.

Creed explained exactly how he attempted to remain under the radar during a new interview with TMZ Sports. He said,

“I had a jacket on with a hood. I had a durag on because of my braids and a baseball hat. Then, a little mask and sunglasses. We were good.”

Kofi, meanwhile, admitted that his disguise wasn’t exactly as subtle as he would have liked. He revealed that he was wearing a bright green hoodie while also noting that New Level deliberately stayed at a hotel located roughly 45 minutes away from the venue. He said,

“I was in a similar attire, but different. I was also wearing sweatpants and a hoodie but it was bright green. Like Tiffany green. I’m just like, what am I doing? I’m supposed to be incognito but I don’t do that very well. Luckily, I didn’t see anybody or if they saw me, they didn’t say that they did. Our hotel was also like 45 minutes away from where everybody else was staying, I think all the fans were already at Wembley and in that area. People had already came in, they’d be in Europe the entire week. We got there a little later than everybody else.”
