How did you like the premiere of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix? What were your biggest pros and cons of the content, presentation, or anything else? That’s what we’re talking about today with our typical highs and lows, one day late from normal (because we had to take care of predictions for NXT New Year’s Evil and couldn’t have that up after that aired, obviously)
My question for you today is “What were your highlights and low points of this week’s Raw?”

As far as my answer…
My biggest highlight would probably be the positive atmosphere that made this feel like it was a truly special show. Outside of Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso, which fell flat to me overall, the other matches were at least worthy of something like SummerSlam. I don’t know if I’d go so far as to say WrestleMania-worthy, like many people are, but there was an air of it being special, for sure.
In particular, I liked how there felt like a sense of finality to certain things. While I don’t like the idea of The Rock just being a babyface and abandoning his two possible opponents like that, I do like how it seemed as though Roman Reigns is just done with Solo Sikoa, and that Rhea Ripley won the Women’s World Championship back and put that storyline with Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio to bed.
As far as the low point is concerned, there is only one strong answer from me, which is how often they felt the need to suck on the teet of Netflix. I get that they want to be appreciative and to appease their overlords and hype it up to the audience, but MY GOD, the amount of times we heard over the 3 hour broadcast alone about how amazing it is to be partnered up with Netflix and how gracious they all are for this blah blah blah…I don’t deal with sycophant culture well. That’s why you don’t see me doing interviews, as 99 out of 100 reporters in that position are just blowing smoke and sucking up, and I can’t stomach that.
The worst of the worst, though, was the Hulk Hogan portion of this. For him to come out to a chorus of boos to say how much everyone loves him, hock his beer, and wave the Netflix flag was a complete waste of time.
