Drew McIntyre has finally wrapped filming on The Last Druid, and interestingly, the news came from Russell Crowe rather than WWE or McIntyre himself.
On August 5, the Oscar-winning actor took to Instagram to confirm that production had officially ended after months of shooting in Spain, sharing a gym photo with McIntyre from their final on-set workout together.
This update matters a lot since the movie has been the reason McIntyre has stayed off WWE television for so long.
Just a day earlier, McIntyre had shared his own gym photo with Crowe. Before that, a brief trip home had sparked rumors of his WWE return, though his team clarified he was simply back for a short break before heading back to finish the project.
WWE hasn’t announced a return date yet, but with filming done, it remains to be seen when McIntyre steps back through the curtain.
