At WWE SummerSlam 2024, fans witnessed Liv Morgan put her Women’s World Championship against Rhea Ripley. Due to Dominik Mysterio’s distraction, Morgan retained her title. Post-match, Dominik and Morgan kissed at ringside, which left Ripley heartbroken.
During a recent interview with IGN, Liv Morgan opened up about Mysterio kissing her, which left the crowd and even Stephanie McMahon stunned. The current WWE Women’s World Champion said,
“SummerSlam 2024, when Dominik Mysterio chose me over Rhea Ripley. And you know, I had beaten Rhea, and everyone’s like, ‘Ah, did he really help her? Did he mean to help her?’ And I’m just like on the ground, just like, ‘Owie,’ because it was like a rough match. And Dominik picks me up with his gentle, manly hands and grabs my face and kisses me. Are you kidding me?”
“There were people that were like, ‘I wish I was Dominik. I wish I was Liv.’ And I feel like the crowd was just so polarized. Like if you saw Stephanie McMahon in the crowd, she was like. Even Stephanie loved it. So it was just iconic.”
Morgan Comments On Danhausen’s Curse In WWE
Appearing on ESPN’s SportsCenter, the Judgment Day member shared her thoughts on Danhausen’s WWE curse. Liv Morgan said,
“You know, I don’t know, but I’m just going to have to have faith and believe in myself that it’s gone. And lots of positive self-talk. I don’t know the deal with these Danhausen curses. I don’t know how long they last. And I don’t know the maximum power of it all, but she did defeat me, but only because I was cursed. Other than that, EOS Sky has never defeated me on one-on-one singles competition.”
“And so I’m just going to go into this weekend with a positive mindset. I don’t feel cursed. I feel great and I know she is not going to be easy to beat. Like I said earlier, she is one of the best in the world. She is so unpredictable in that ring. Her skill set is unmatched, but I know what I’m willing to do to retain my championship, and that is quite literally anything.”
