As seen on this week’s episode of WWE NXT, Ethan Page debuted and took out Trick Williams in the main event segment. It has since been confirmed that Page has signed a contract with the company.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has been interested in bringing Page to the WWE NXT brand since it was reported that he had left AEW.

It is said that Shawn Michaels served as a stand-in for Page during rehearsals. Additionally, Booker T was listed in Page’s place on rundowns. Shinsuke Nakamura’s theme song played during the rehearsal.

Johnny Russo was listed as the writer for the segment. As you’d expect, Vic Joseph’s allusion to AEW during the segment was also scripted.
