Elon Musk Buys Twitter – Mick Foley Immediately Quits

Many people aren’t happy with the controversial Elon Musk taking control of Twitter, and one of those folks is WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

When the news was announced earlier this week that Musk’s acquisition of the social media giant had been finalized, Foley immediately deleted/deactivated his account.

It should be noted that Foley sent out a tweet back in April when reports originally surfaced that Musk was considering buying Twitter. At the time, he wrote,

“I’ll be giving some serious thought to leaving @Twitter for good in the near future. I do not have a good feeling about where this platform is heading.”

Foley would regularly interact with fans and promoted many charities on the social media platform.

For his part, Elon Musk sent out a tweet on Friday that stated a content moderation council will be implemented in the neat future. He wrote,

“Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints.

No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.”
