El Hijo del Vikingo is officially on the road to recovery as the reigning AAA Latin American Champion has undergone surgery for a recent injury.
On Instagram, Vikingo shared that the procedure was successful and shared a video from his hospital bed alongside his wife.
“Nothing will be the same again, but everything can be better than it ever was. HDLV family everything was a success thanks to God 🙏 Thank you my beautiful doll @aleidis_oficial.”
Vikingo was scheduled to defend the AAA Latin American Title against E.K. Prosper on the June 30 episode of WWE NXT, though this match was later scrapped.
Instead, a segment aired that saw Keanu Carver standing over a downed Vikingo, suggesting that Carver had attacked the luchador.
