Early Estimates Indicate Major Decrease For AEW Dynasty 2024 PPV Buys

According to an early estimate from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view buys are lower than those for AEW Revolution 2024 and AEW Worlds End 2023.

The current estimate suggests a decline of 41.1% in TV PPV buys from AEW Revolution 2024 and 28.8% from AEW Worlds End 2023.

It is worth noting that the late buys could potentially contribute to a boost in these numbers.

However, the current estimate is about 100,000 to 108,000 on TV PPV.

While the streaming numbers did not decline as much as the TV PPV numbers, they were still down by 30% from AEW Revolution 2024, resulting in a total (streaming and PPV) of 122,000.

Notably, AEW Dynasty 2024 had to compete with the NBA, NHL Playoffs, and the MLB.

Despite this, AEW Worlds End 2023 performed better and had arguably stronger competition against the NFL.

Of the viewers who purchased AEW Dynasty 2024, 71.5% also bought AEW Revolution 2024. Additionally, only 2.5% of the viewers who purchased WWE WrestleMania 40 (either night) bought AEW Dynasty 2024.
