Drew McIntyre has blacked out his Twitter profile picture and banner, removed all WWE references from his bio, and left fans wondering about what caused his sudden social media blackout.
It was previously reported that McIntyre’s WWE contract is up this year and that the former Universal Champion plans on waiting until closer to the expiration date to sign a new contract as there are several ‘factors’ for him to take into consideration. The two sides are said to be “far apart” at this point.
At the moment, it is unclear as to why McIntyre changed up his Twitter profile.
While fans are speculating that the sudden move could be a protest or a hint at McIntyre’s possible exit from WWE, it’s unclear whether it’s for a storyline arc or real-life purpose.
It is to be noted that McIntyre’s Twitter handle is still @DMcIntyreWWE and his Instagram handle has not been changed either.
