Conor McGregor Fires Back On UFC 329 Injury Claims, Jake & Logan Paul Troll His Loss

Conor McGregor’s UFC 329 comeback ended in a painful first-round stoppage against Max Holloway after his right knee suddenly gave out. McGregor had waited five years to return to the Octagon, but he collapsed after throwing an early kick and landing on his right leg. He tried to continue, although the knee buckled again, and officials stopped the fight after the first minute.

Following the loss, McGregor rejected claims that he entered the fight with an existing knee injury. On Twitter, the Irish fighter clarified he had been kicking, jumping, and moving normally throughout his training camp and backstage before the bout. He wrote,

“My head gasket is gone. Destroyed. I had no injury / injuries going into the fight. I was throwing kicks, planted and jumping, all throughout camp as well as backstage before the fight. This came out of nowhere. I am beyond dark here. I can only describe it as hell.”

The former two-division UFC champion left the arena soon after the loss while still wearing his fight gear. He refused crutches, and the full diagnosis has not yet been revealed. McGregor’s last UFC appearance also ended with a serious right-side injury, when he broke his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Meanwhile, Jake and Logan Paul haven’t shied away from trolling their archnemesis. Jake shared a pool video in which he mimicked McGregor’s early kicks, pretended to hurt his knee, and fell into the water. He labeled the clip as “UFC highlights from tonight.”

Logan revealed he had bet on Holloway and claimed he won $30,000. He also mocked McGregor’s performance, called him a washed-up athlete, and challenged him to a boxing match after he recovers.
