Cody Rhodes has said the developers of the upcoming WWE 2K23 are working on something special for pro wrestling fans ahead of the game’s release.
This week, it was reported that WWE wanted Rhodes to be a character in WWE 2K22, which was released in March, weeks before his on-screen return.
The idea was “quickly shot down” by WWE’s gaming developer partner: Take-Two Interactive.
Responding to a claim that he should be on the cover of 2K23, the American Nightmare said that the game will be something very special.
Cody’s last official WWE games appearance was as Stardust in WWE 2K17, which launched after his departure in 2016.
Rhodes will face Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE Hell in a Cell 2022.
