Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles made an appearance at the WWE Backlash: France Kickoff event on Friday ahead of their title match at Saturday’s pay-per-view event.
During the Kickoff event, Rhodes brought up their Bullet Club history and tried to do the ‘too sweet’ gesture with Styles. He said,
“I wish this was under a bit of better terms. Last week, AJ implied that I cannot carry the weight of this championship. [Styles says that isn’t what he said.] Well, that’s what it sounded like. Hey, perhaps there’s a chance, here and now, tonight as well. It’s no secret. Former leader of the Bullet Club.”
