Cody Rhodes – ‘Nine Out Of Ten Of My Ideas Are Bad’

Cody Rhodes has more creative freedom than many of his WWE counterparts, but that doesn’t mean he operates without guidance. Like the rest of the WWE roster, Rhodes still has producers helping shape his matches and segments.

That production can come from a number of people backstage, whether it’s top WWE officials such as Triple H, Michael Hayes, or Bruce Prichard, or producers including Abyss, Robert Roode, and TJ Wilson.

Rhodes recently admitted that having that additional input is something he needs, joking that many of his own ideas don’t exactly make it to the finish line. He said,

“You’ve heard this before, everybody needs to be produced. I’m so grateful to have the people that I have in my life and in management to produce me. Nine out of ten of my ideas are bad. I’m good for a banger idea, but nine out of ten are oof. I’m good for an idea.”

One example of Rhodes pitching an unconventional idea came up during his appearance on the podcast. He revealed that one of his ideas involved selling his soul to Johnson, better known to WWE fans as Ava in NXT, after her father, The Rock, asked for it in 2025.
