As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Jesse Ventura was backstage at Monday’s WWE RAW TV tapings in St. Paul, MN.

Taking to Twitter after the event, Ventura shared a photo of himself with CM Punk. He captioned it with, “Why did I come back? For moments like these.”

While appearing on the “SI Media Podcast,” Punk revealed that he was “blown away” by the encounter. He said,

“I saw Governor Ventura the other day. Absolutely, 100% blown away, one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me in my life is he tells me that he saw I came back, and he said, ‘The place must have changed. If Punk is back, I’ll go back.’”

Punk added, “I can’t take credit for it, but I think a guy like me being back speaks volumes. Obviously, it does.”
