CM Punk opened up Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite with a promo on Jon Moxley.
During the promo, Punk made reference to several WWE Superstars. Punk said Moxley has always been third-best in the groups he’s been a part of, referencing his days in The Shield in WWE.
Punk then said Moxley is just an interim champion, and he won’t test himself against the third best Eddie and the second best Kingston he’s been in a locker room with. Those appear to be references to Eddie Guerrero and Eddie Gilbert, as well as Kofi Kingston.
Punk then said that when he beats Moxley in Chicago at All Out, it won’t be the first time he beat a “John” in Chicago for a World Title – referencing John Cena.
