Chris Jericho/Don Callis Massive Botch On AEW Dynamite (WATCH)

Chris Jericho committed a brutal botch on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. Y2J forgot his spot during a match, owing to which another star of the company failed to land his spot perfectly, which resulted in Jericho being forced to sell nothing but thin air.

The August 12, 2026, episode of Dynamite saw Jericho challenging Kevin Knight for the TNT Championship. Both men put up a good fight, with the challenger having the upper hand for the majority of the bout. Y2J even successfully trapped Knight with his Walls of Jericho submission move.

However, this is where things went down. Notably, the inaugural AEW World Champion had to be near the ropes before executing the hold. Since he wasn’t in his spot, Don Callis, who was supporting Knight from the ringside, was forced to get on the apron and remind Chris Jericho that he had to be near the ropes.

This made the 55-year-old deliberately reach the ropes, after which Don Callis took out a screwdriver from his pocket to stab Jericho’s face. However, the weapon didn’t connect at all, which forced Jericho to sell a no-contact hit.

Once the submission hold was broken, Kevin Knight got back into the match, low-blowed Jericho, and finished things with a Crash Landing to secure the winning pinfall. However, the botch was too strong for the finish to hide.
