Chris Jericho has blasted WWE for ‘squandering’ his feud with Kevin Owens in 2017.

After teaming for months, Owens turned on Jericho in the iconic festival of Friendship, payback for Jericho accepting Goldberg’s challenge for the Universal Championship on behalf of then-Champion Owens.

At the Fastlane 2017 Pay Per View, Jericho would cost Owens the title, and the pair would face off at WrestleMania 33.

On Twitter, Jericho agreed with a fan who believes WWE squandered what could’ve been a huge match at WrestleMania.

Jericho has claimed that at one point, WWE’s plan was for the two to face off at WrestleMania for the Universal Championship.
