Chelsea Green has captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at WWE SummerSlam (Night Two).

Night Two of WWE SummerSlam 2026 featured a Ladder Match to determine an interim champion while Rhea Ripley recovers from a meniscus injury. Although Ripley is currently sidelined, WWE has indicated that her absence is expected to be shorter than initially feared.

The chaotic contest saw several momentum swings as all five competitors came within reach of the championship. One of the biggest moments came when Tiffany Stratton had the title within her grasp, only for Chelsea Green to shove her longtime ally off the ladder and seize the opportunity for herself.

Green’s celebration was cut short when Michin and B-Fab rushed to the ring to stop her climb, but the action continued. Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill battled atop another ladder, with both women crashing to the mat after knocking each other off.

With the ring finally clear, Green climbed the ladder once more and successfully retrieved the championship to become the new Interim WWE Women’s Champion.

As it stands, Green is expected to face Rhea Ripley upon Ripley’s return, with the winner being recognized as the Undisputed WWE Women’s Champion.
