Matt Cardona and Chelsea Green may be a real-life wrestling couple, but they refuse to let cameras into their home.
During a recent appearance on the “NotSam Wrestling” podcast, Green called the idea terrifying, while Cardona joked that it would end in an actual divorce.
You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:
Green on her segment with Nick Aldis: “It was definitely bigger than whatever was to come. I think we all felt where it was going that week after SummerSlam, where I had a very lame promo, and it kind of led into a couple of lame moments. Then, that broken orbital bone was the best thing that could’ve ever happened to me because of that promo.”
Green on Nick Aldis helping her write her promo: “Nick and I spent a lot of time on that promo. I’m very thankful for Nick Aldis because he helped me write that one, and he helped me write the follow-up a couple of weeks later. It hit because we were able to go through the emotions and change of pace and the ride we wanted to take them on. ‘What’s the angle? How do we get there making them think we’re going to take it off me?’ That’s the crucial moment in that promo.”
Green on refusing to turn their personal life into a reality show: “That’s terrifying. Nobody needs to know the fights that we have, like, not on camera. I’m sorry, but the whole poor-me shtick is ridiculous. Okay, think about all the injuries I’ve had this year. It’s been a lot. I broke my ankle in two places. And what did I do for the next three days, Matt? I trekked around Disney with your family for three days with a broken leg. Okay. Then I got heart surgery. And then I broke my orbital bone.”
Cardona on refusing to turn their personal life into a reality show: “That would lead to a real-life divorce. Look at my arm right now. Torn tricep. Career-threatening injury. Life-threatening injury. I’m trying to get ready all by myself. My wife is getting her glam done this morning, as she does. And she deserves it. She’s the WWE women’s champion. I’ve tried to put deodorant on with one hand. It’s impossible. Trying to do my hair with one hand, put the brace on with one hand. And then my beautiful wife calls me. She said, ‘Hey, could you bring this bag and these clothes and these boots and these shoes and the title?’ I’m like, ‘I have one arm, babe.’ And that led to an argument.”
AJ Francis has revealed the real reason behind targeting Avery Styles in TNA.
During a recent appearance on SA Live, Francis explained that his real issue lies with AJ Styles, who has allegedly avoided fighting him for years.
Now that AJ Styles has retired, Francis declared that he plans to take his frustration out on Avery instead, promising to give him the beating he feels the father deserved long ago. He said,
“I’m calling him out because his daddy is ducking me. I’ve been trying to fight his daddy for years. We almost fought one time on SmackDown. It ended up not happening. He sucker punched me, gave me a Phenomenal Forearm after the match. He didn’t have to do that, so I’ve been trying to call him out for years.”
“Now, because his son is in TNA, I’m gonna spank his son like he should have a long time ago.”
