As we previously reported here on eWn, Moose successfully retained the TNA X-Division Championship in an Ultimate X Match at TNA Rebellion 2025 this past Sunday. During the match, Leon Slater executed a risky 450 splash from the top of the steel beam structure — a moment that appeared especially dangerous when the other competitors failed to fully catch him on the landing.

On a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Bully Ray weighed in on the incident, sharing how he would have handled the situation and advising Slater to avoid attempting such high-risk maneuvers in the future.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On how he would’ve talked Leon Slater out of the spot: “If I was there, I would’ve done my best to talk him out of [it]. You want to jump off something? That’s fine. Lay out, like a high crossbody, which we’ve seen done from the top of a steel cage plenty of times.”

On how a crossbody would’ve been the better choice for a high spot: “A high crossbody lays your body out, and more, your body catches more air. And the more air that catches your body slows you down. You’re also in the position that many guys can catch you right across your chest. So that body’s being propelled, you put your chest out, you put your arms underneath, and it’s the same exact thing because it’s coming from such a high point. That’s what really gets the ooh’s and the ahh’s, the jumping off the high point. And there’s much more chance that you’re going to land safely into people’s arms.”

During a recent interview with The Daily Star, AEW’s Bryan Danielson named Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, MJF, and Zack Sabre Jr as wrestlers he would use to build a company around. He said,

“At this stage, gosh, I’d want Will Ospreay for sure. I’d want Swerve Strickland. I’m going to say four. Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega. I would want to kind of base my company around, those four people. Then there’s younger people who – there’s MJF, there’s Hangman. There’s like these people who I would want in the picture. Zack Sabre Jr. I would, I would get, because that’s my jam.”
