Bryan Danielson Only Felt Like ‘The Man’ Once In His Career – Not In WWE

Bryan Danielson had an incredible tenure in WWE, but never felt like ‘the man’ during his eleven-year run.

Danielson, then Daniel Bryan, left WWE in 2021 as a five-time World Champion, and also became a Grand Slam winner and Money in the Bank winner.

Speaking to the Toronto Sun, Danielson addressed the only time he felt like the top star of any promotion, which came long before WWE.

“In 2005, it’s probably the first and only time I’ve ever been considered by a company to be the man.

“That’s really the first and only time that’s ever happened in my career.”

Danielson, a former ROH World Champion, will challenge current-champion Chris Jericho on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

The show will be the first AEW Dynamite held in Canada.
