Brian Cage Says “Jealous” AEW Talent Are Sabotaging Him

AEW’s Brian Cage has accused “jealous” wrestlers of trying to sabotage his career in the promotion.

Cage, who was prominently featured on AEW programming, hasn’t competed since the October 6, 2021, Rampage.

In September 2021, Cage’s wife Melissa Santos claimed he was being misused by AEW which reportedly earned him heat backstage.

While speaking during a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing earlier this week, Cage made his accusation that wrestlers latched on to his wife’s comments to try and sabotage him.

“Certain individuals there made it a big deal.. These certain individuals know who they are… I don’t really have heat with them. I show up, go to the gym, eat, have the best match possible, and go home.  I don’t hang out, drink, or party, [I’m] a pretty simple and easygoing guy.

“Some people are upset because they don’t look like me or can’t move as well as me with the way I look. That’s on them. If you want to call it professional jealousy, that’s what it is.”

Cage & Gates of Agony defeated Alex Zayne, Blake Christian & Tony Deppen in a pre-show match ahead of ROH’s Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.
