Ricochet has given his notice to WWE.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Ricochet recently notified the company that he’s not planning to sign a new contract. We previously reported here on eWn that Ricochet’s current contract will expire this summer. He signed a five-year deal in 2019. He is expected to be written out of storylines soon to prepare for his exit.

One higher-up in WWE said that Ricochet deserves “all the credit in the world for betting on himself.”

As you’d expect, there is already interest from other promotions in the former WWE Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, NXT North American Champion, and inaugural WWE Speed Champion when he becomes a free agent.

As of this writing, there is no word on the exact date that his contract will be expiring but it will be in the very near future. Of course, there isn’t a no-compete clause when a contract expires so he’ll be free to work wherever he chooses.
