Former AEW wrestler Bobby Fish reportedly asked Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly to request their releases from the promotion.

Cole, O’Reilly and Fish all worked as part of the Undisputed Era in WWE NXT 2.0, before joining AEW at different points in 2021.

Cole was the first to join at September’s AEW All Out 2021 pay-per-view event, while Fish would join the following month before O’Reilly that December.

Ryan Frederick of the Wrestling Observer reports that Fish wanted both men to request their releases in an effort to return to WWE.

Both O’Reilly and Cole told Fish that they would not be making the request.

Fish left AEW in August this year, after failing to come to terms with the promotion on a new deal.

Cole is currently out with a concussion while O’Reilly is out indefinitely following neck fusion surgery.
