Big E broke his neck when he took a german suplex from Ridge Holland during a tag team match on Friday’s episode of SmackDown as he landed right on his head. He was later stretched to the back and taken to a hospital.
The former WWE Champion announced on Twitter that he has been told by doctors that he won’t need to get surgery and there was no damage to his spinal cord.
He fractured the C-1 and C-6 vertebrae in his neck.
