Bayley Returns To WWE At Live Event

Bayley returned to in-ring action over the weekend.

The former WWE Women’s Champion competed at a WWE live event in Stockton, California on Saturday night, taking on Sol Ruca and Lyra Valkyria in a Triple Threat match.

Bayley’s previous match came at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, where she was defeated by Valkyria. Following the bout, Valkyria drove Bayley into the steel ring steps, and on the following episode of RAW, she claimed she had run the former champion out of WWE.

The post-match attack sparked speculation about Bayley’s status, particularly with reports that her WWE contract is set to expire later this year. Many fans believed the angle was designed to write her off television, but her appearance at the Stockton live event indicates she remains active. Of course, Bayley still has several months left on her current WWE contract so this shouldn’t come as a surprise. To be blunt – there’s no word on if she’s even leaving or if contract negotiations have begun at this point.

Speaking of Bayley, she has officially reached a major milestone in her WWE career, celebrating 10 years as a member of the company’s main roster.

The former Women’s Champion first signed with WWE in 2012 and began competing in NXT, where she became one of the brand’s defining stars. After several standout years in the developmental system, Bayley made her main roster debut at WWE Battleground on July 24, 2016. Teaming with Sasha Banks, she defeated Charlotte Flair and Dana Brooke in her first match on WWE’s flagship roster.

Although her Battleground appearance marked her official main roster debut, Bayley briefly returned to NXT to finish her run with the brand. Her final NXT match came against Asuka for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Following that loss, she officially joined Monday Night RAW just two days later on August 22, 2016.
