Fans witnessed Baron Corbin return to WWE on the July 10, 2026, episode of SmackDown. He interfered during the Carmelo Hayes vs. Trick Williams match and laid waste to both stars.

In a recent edition of the “Two Count Tuesday” podcast, Jonathan Coachman shared his thoughts on Corbin’s WWE return. The veteran said,

“If you’re Baron Corbin, he is intelligent enough before he signs for them to lay it out. I think that’s one of the biggest reasons that Chris Jericho never came back over. I know it on good authority that Triple H said, ‘I’ve got nothing for you but CM Punk.’ So Baron Corbin is smart enough. Plus, he’s also positioned himself where he doesn’t need them now financially. He’s got a coffee brand going. He’s got other things. He can also make enough money on the indies to supplement that.”

“So to me, for him to re-sign—and I purposely have not talked to him about this because I don’t want to lie to our audience, I don’t want to lie to you, and I certainly don’t want to give away anything that he is thinking or what they are doing—but my gut is that since he has re-signed, he has a very clear vision as coming back as a heel. He has no business being a babyface right now. And that’s why he’s perfect right now for what they need if they can be creative correctly.”

Coachman Believes WWE Is Dropping The Ball On Breakker

During a different episode of the “Two Count Tuesday” podcast, The Coach explained why he thinks WWE is dropping the ball with Bron Breakker. The former WWE commentator said,

“I’m disappointed because it should all be about Bron Breakker, and Bron Breakker should be the guy that they and build up because right now he’s cold. He’s ice cold. Oba and his resurgence on Monday Night Raw has just absolutely overtaken Bron Breakker. And for some reason this company can’t book two young studs at the same time. And I don’t really understand that.”

“I think the Logan Paul situation is throwing a kink into the works. Bron Breakker, for whatever reason—they did it with Jey Uso and they’re doing it with Bron Breakker — when you throw somebody back into a tag team, you are lessening their singles cache, you’re lessening his star power.”

“Now you’ve got him in a tag team with Austin Theory. The only thing I liked about last night is the fact that I’ve been saying for months, if you’re going to do it, you need a female and she fits the part. She looks the part. She fits the part. So if they’re going to keep them together, I like having Maxxine. But I agree with you. The only thing I agree with you on is that Bron Breakker, you’re dropping the ball on a super duper star. Period.”
