Several reports about the sale rumors have been going on over the last week following Vince McMahon’s return to WWE as a member of the Board of Directors. WWE hasn’t been sold, but several companies are looking into potentially buying the company. 

It was reported that Stephanie McMahon and Triple H had “opposed” the idea of selling the company. 

Vince’s return and the WWE sale rumors come at the same time that Stephanie announced her resignation as co-CEO of WWE. 

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that Triple H and Stephanie were not opposed to a sale. Instead, because it was Vince’s decision to explore the possibility of a sale, to begin with, they were fine if the company was sold or stayed in the family.
