There appears to be a lot happening with Alexa Bliss and WWE at the moment.

On Wednesday, several reports indicated that WWE had paused all creative plans to bring back Alexa Bliss. There was some speculation of a contractual issue that is holding things up.

As we previously reported here on eWn, Bliss was initially scheduled to return at the WWE RAW TV tapings in San Jose, CA, but those plans were later nixed.

Pwinsider is reporting that the holdup between Bliss and WWE is indeed tied to contractual matters. While Bliss remains under WWE contract, she is seeking a new deal. WWE expects her to honor her current agreement, but representatives from Bliss’ side reportedly approached WWE to initiate discussions about renegotiating her contract before her return.

Bliss is interested in a new agreement that would replace her existing one, which would offer higher pay and additional perks. It is said that Bliss’ side stood firm on the need for a new deal, which led to WWE putting all plans on hold for the time being. The two sides have reportedly been at odds ever since.

Bliss has since removed all WWE references from her social media profiles.
