Backstage Note On Brian Cage’s Contract With AEW
We reported earlier this week that AEW picked up the one-year renewal option on the contract of Brian Cage. Due to this, he will be staying with the company until at least 2023. It seems a little odd that the company has picked up the option as Cage hasn’t been used on AEW television since October of last year. He also hasn’t been backstage at the TV tapings in months.
According to a report from Fightful, Cage’s contract was expected to expire on February 21st. Several days before that, the company picked up the renewal option.
