As we reported yesterday here on eWn, WWE’s Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was not backstage at last night’s SmackDown TV tapings in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Laurinaitis was never scheduled to be in attendance at the show. Additionally, his absence was said to have not been a big deal.
As of this writing, Laurinaitis is scheduled to be at next week’s WWE RAW TV tapings in Lincoln, Nebraska. With that being said, things could change and it’s not “100% confirmed” that he will be there.
WWE’s Board of Directors is currently investigating Vince McMahon for paying a former employee $3 million in hush money following an alleged affair.
The investigation has also indicated that Laurinaitis had an affair with this same woman. The Wall Street Journal report says they passed the alleged victim around “like a toy.” In addition to this, the investigation has uncovered several older NDAs showing misconduct allegations that were made against both Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis by former employees.
