Another Pitch Made For LA Knight’s WWE World Title Win

LA Knight has been on the WWE main roster for a long time now and has been consistently over with fans. Despite this, the company still has not put a World Championship around his waist.

During a recent episode of “The AJ Styles Show,” AJ Styles claimed that he has not seen anyone more ready to be a World Champion than LA Knight. The WWE Hall of Famer said,

“It’s happened before in Saudi, right? They did wrestle and LA Knight didn’t get the championship. I’ve never seen anybody more ready to be a champion right now than LA Knight. I know I keep harping on this but I can’t be the only one that thinks this way. He’s got all the tools. Give him the opportunity.”

“He knows what comes with being a champion. He’s got it. I’m not just talking about holding the heavyweight championship around your waist. When it comes to interviews and what you’ve got to do to represent the WWE, he has those tools to be able to get it done. I think he’d do it flawlessly.”

Veteran Comments On How WWE Views Knight

Speaking on a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Eric Bischoff offered his thoughts on how WWE is treating Knight. The former RAW General Manager said,

“I mean, he’s (LA Knight) still very popular. He’s got a strong base, a lot of equity. You hear the reaction. You can see the traffic in social media when he’s involved in anything that’s remotely meaningful. So, his fan base is definitely still there and you hear the reactions whenever they do use them.”

“Why haven’t they done more with it? It just seems like it’s a gold nugget sitting on the side of a mountain and it’s just sitting there waiting for it to be picked up. But they get close to it. They start moving in that direction and for whatever reason they don’t pick it up and run with it. So I don’t know what the thinking is … I think they see him as an upper mid-card guy because that’s the way they’re treating him.”
