Andy ‘The Butcher’ Williams Passes Away

The wrestling world is mourning the loss of Andy Williams, better known to fans as “The Butcher,” who has died at the age of 48.

Williams was competing at Enjoy Wrestling’s event on September 5 when he suffered a medical emergency during a tag team match. He received CPR at the venue before an ambulance arrived and transported him for further medical attention.

According to a report from TMZ, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that Williams has passed away. He was 48 years old.

Williams began his professional wrestling career roughly a decade ago and went on to gain widespread recognition during his time in All Elite Wrestling. He was signed by AEW alongside his longtime tag team partner Jesse Guilmette, better known as “The Blade,” with the duo competing as part of The Butcher and The Blade.

Outside of wrestling, Williams was also an accomplished musician. He was the guitarist for the heavy metal band Every Time I Die, adding another dimension to a career that saw him make an impact in both professional wrestling and music.

Williams’ sudden passing has sent shockwaves through both communities, with fans and fellow performers remembering him for his work inside and outside the ring.
