Alexa Bliss Admits Her WWE Return Was Not Planned In Advance

Alexa Bliss made her return to WWE after two years at this year’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. Bliss was last seen at 2023’s Royal Rumble event, where she failed to win the RAW Women’s Championship from Bianca Belair. Prior to her return, there were numerous reports stating that it could get scrapped.

Now, having been on the roster for months and even earning her spot with Charlotte Flair at the WWE Evolution pay-per-view event, Bliss revealed something interesting.

Alexa Bliss Got The Call To Return To WWE At Midnight

Speaking on the “The Nikki and Brie Show,” Bliss was asked about her return. She said,

“I got the call at like midnight, the night before. Yeah, midnight the night before. So, I got the call at midnight and it wasn’t even fully decided until like 4:00 a.m.”

“Then I get a call at 5:00, and they’re like, ‘All right, we need you on a plane by 10:00 a.m.”

“I flew to Cincinnati, because it wasn’t in Indianapolis, so no one would see me. Got driven in, had to cover up, got snuck into a back room.”

“There was hair and makeup waiting. I didn’t even get there until 4:00. You guys know how this stuff works, right?”

“The first match was starting at 6:00, so I got there at 4:00, someone was ready to do my hair, and I hadn’t slept because this was an all-night process.”

“So I just got on a plane and went. No one knew I was there. Not even the girls. They didn’t know until I was in Gorilla. No one knew. No one.”

Bliss’ return at the Royal Rumble gained one of the biggest pops of the night. Unfortunately, she was eliminated by Liv Morgan. Following that, she also qualified for the Elimination Chamber and the Money in the Bank pay-per-view events.
