Following the end of his legendary in-ring career, AJ Styles has found a new calling outside of the wrestling business.

Styles officially retired from active competition in January, closing out his career with a match against GUNTHER at the Royal Rumble. One month later, The Undertaker announced that “The Phenomenal One” would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026, with longtime friends The Good Brothers handling the induction ceremony in April.

During his Hall of Fame speech, Styles admitted that he doesn’t miss wrestling, explaining that retirement has allowed him to spend the time he always wanted with his wife and children. Throughout the years, he has spoken candidly about missing birthdays, school events, and other family milestones because of his demanding travel schedule. Now, he is embracing the opportunity to be present for the people who matter most.

That commitment to family and friends has led Styles to take on an unexpected new role.

Speaking on a recent edition of his “The Phenomenally Retro” podcast, Styles revealed that he is now legally ordained and will soon begin officiating weddings. The announcement came while discussing one of his closest friends from college, whose daughter is preparing to get married. He said,

“I can marry people now. So, one of my buddies, one of my best friends that I went to college with—we’ve been close ever since then. His daughter’s getting married, right? And she needed somebody to marry them. Here I go. I’m going to do it. I’m going to be the guy. I’d love to tell you how hard it is to be able to marry people, but as far as getting your license, or whatever it is that you get, it’s just filling it out and doing it.”

“So, I’ve got two weddings that I’m going to see before I actually do the one that I’m doing here. So, I’m going to make sure I get all my words correct and everything like that. I have no idea. I’m going to have to watch videotapes on how to do this stuff and what to say. Surely I can figure it out. I don’t know how many people are going to be there, but I’m sure it’s not 10,000 people. I’ve been able to speak in front of that many people before, so I think it’ll be okay.”
