Aggravated Assault Case Against Cash Wheeler Dropped

AEW wrestler Cash Wheeler will no longer stand trial on charges of aggravated assault.

Wheeler was set to stand trial later this month on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm. This stemmed from a road rage incident from August of 2023, where Wheeler reportedly flashed a gun at another driver.

According to a report from Pwinsider, the prosecutor’s office filed a noelle prosequi, which is a formal notice of abandonment by a plaintiff or prosecutor in the case.

As of this writing, there is no word on why the case has been dropped. While a pre-trial hearing in the case was set for tomorrow, that will obviously no longer be taking place.

Finally, Wheeler’s bond has been released and the case has been officially closed.
