The third singles match between Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne took place at AEW WrestleDream 2026, with the two competitors entering the bout tied at one win apiece.
Jericho won their first encounter on the September 16 episode of AEW Dynamite, but Wayne evened the score in their rematch at AEW Grand Slam: France. The two then agreed to settle their rivalry with a rubber match in Orlando.
Late in the bout, the referee was knocked down, creating an opportunity for both competitors to bend the rules. Wayne attempted to hit Jericho with a low blow, only for Jericho to reveal that he had come prepared with a groin protector.
Jericho subsequently returned the favor with a low blow of his own before attempting to connect with the Judas Effect. However, he missed the move, allowing Wayne to roll him up for the three-count.
With the victory, Wayne wins the series 2-1 against Jericho, coming out on top in their decisive third encounter.
The Young Bucks’ reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions continues.
Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson defended their titles against the Don Callis Family’s Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher at the 2026 AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
The match marked the second title defense of the Bucks’ current reign, which began when they captured the championships in a Ladder match at All Out. This is the team’s fourth reign as AEW World Tag Team Champions.
Don Callis interfered during the contest, choking Nick Jackson with a cord. Later in the match, Fletcher built momentum with a series of moves, but Knight tagged himself into the action before being taken out by the champions.
Knight was eventually baited into another exchange with the Bucks and fell victim to the B.T.E. Trigger.
Matt and Nick Jackson then secured the pinfall victory to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Persephone continues her reign as TBS Champion.
At AEW WrestleDream 2026, Persephone put her TBS Championship on the line against Dani Luna, Hyan, and Queen Aminata in a four-way match.
Persephone previously defended the title against Luna at All In before retaining against Hyan on the September 23 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Despite facing three challengers, Persephone managed to walk away with the championship still in her possession.
The finish saw Persephone break up a pin attempt by Hyan on Luna. She then dropped Hyan to the canvas before connecting with a moonsault press to secure the pinfall victory and retain her TBS Championship.
